Are US and JDM transmissions the same?

Sorry I didn’t have time to search. Hoping to get a quick answer on this one. A guy with a RHD car is wondering if my tranny that came out of a Canadian car will work. So basically my question is are the transmissions the same between US, Canadian and Japanese 3rd gens?

Thanks,
J

We are talking about a 93 LHD vs 93 RHD. Don't really care if one is stronger than the other. Just want to know if I sell him my tranny will it be a direct swap or are there differences?

Thanks.
