Urgent, weird sticky black STUFF!

Yo lads,

i got some sticky black stuff in my exhaust side turbo and exhaust! is this carbon deposits? any way to clean this?!!?! or is my engine screwed?

some sticky black stuff.. be more specific is it all still on the car? and is it oil or not ?if so you mite have an exhaust leak or hole somewhere and its blowin exhaust everywhere....

Won't be carbon. More likely 'tar' from an oil leak.

i don't know what's going on... it's STICKY!!!! it's on the hot side of the turbo and exhaust manifold doesn't have it.

i will try posting pictures later.

On the OUTSIDE???? Hell, it could be anything from melted plastic, melted rubber, etc, as well as just cooked oil from a small leak.

forgot about the pics... i'm kind of depressed... enzo from enzo racing isn't emailing me back with sm4 trouble shoot issues. black sticky stuff on turbo... down-pipe almost touching the LIM. v-mount project not going well.... to be short, HEAD AChe! should i just part the stuff and buy a toyota yaris?

um. if this is making you want to sell it, perhaps the FD was not right for you.

relax. drink a beer. take few days away from the car. post pics so gurus can help you. remain calm. fix car when NOT frustrated.
