Angry URGENT: could someone tell me WHAT Coolant hose this is that's leaking ??

Yeah....another FU$$ING coolant hose leak !!! Dammit...well at least I'm glad I caught it before it turned into a disaster. It is a hose that comes out of the passenger side firewall (I think) and curves back into the firewall?? It's about 6 inches in total length. I'm guessing it's some kind of Heater hose. Anyway it was shooting a small stream of coolant right onto my downpipe. I duct taped it off temporarily just so that it would catch on fire from dripping on the dp. Have any of YOU replaced this hose?? If so, exactly what hose is it?? Is there any COOLANT hose Diagram on the net somewhere where I can track this hose down?? Any help is appreciated !!

Yes, that's a heater hose. There's two heater hoses in that area.

Thanks GSR and Jack. Jack, I just talked to Darrel and he also confirmed that it was the heater hose. Lucked out again. Pulled up in my driveway and soon as I opened my door I immediately smelled a strong coolant smell. Tired of these cheap *** hoses going out. Now I am stuck without my baby for Christmas and this whole week

Time for a coolant change

Seems like this is an ongoing problem with these cars. Mazda lowered the pressure cap on these to prevent hose leaks and fire potentials. This puts the boiling temerature closer to the operating temperature and will deffinately boil over(push coolant into overflow) when heat soaked. Why not look into the EVANS coolant and not have to worry about hoses (runs with now pressure) and boiling point is in the 370+ degree range. There are alolot of plus's with this coolant (even if it's more expensive) Group buy going on at Pineapple racing.

While doing the silicone hose job I replaced all the coolant hoses: heater hoses, throttle body, ast, turbo coolant hoses and the radiator hoses. With the age of these cars I now feel that replacing all the coolant hoses should be way up high on the list of things to do when buying one of these cars.

I got all the hoses save the ones for the radiator from my local dealer; think it was only about $50 in all. Cheap insurance.
