Urethane motor mounts or OEM rubber?

I'm contemplating wether to go with the Rtorsports Racing urethane motor mounts $340 for 2 vs. OEM rubber for $240 each.

I hear mixed reviews of the urethane ones.

Can I get some more insight on this.

Thanks,
Victor

Dude, I put out the extra for the RotorSports' mounts. The car shakes a little more now, but the driving and shifting feel better. The only negative thing I've heard of is that the engine sits a little higher, and may conflict with certain hoods. For what it's worth, I say go for it!

the urethane mounts sits higher in the beginning, after a few months, it will be lower than the stock ones.
Vibrations only in the low rpm up to 1800rpm or so...

Very true. At idle you'll probably think that something is wrong, but once you get her moving, everything smooths out.

You can get the OEM mounts for $180 and $190 from Malloy, including Fed Ex shipping. Ask for Ray and tell him I sent you. I get free pens, keychains and calenders if you mention my name.

At $240 each you are getting hosed.

The "new" OEM mounts are a vast improvement over the ones that came with your car from the factory. The driver's side is iron instead of aluminum, the retaining straps are much heavier gauge, and the damping fluid is higher viscosity.

You'll have a buzzy low end for life with the urethanes, however if you are running big HP numbers you'll need them or solids.

I hear a lot of fillings falling out.

When it's time for me to replace my motor mounts, I'm going solid.

It's damn better than having that silly torque brace in the engine bay

I've had the Rotorsports polyurethane mounts for about 2500 miles in my FD now, they vibrate more than the stock ones, though recently I've been noticing that the vibrations have lessened, I don't know if it's because I've gotten used to it, or if they've gotten a little softer from use(BTW, I have the first batch of Rotorsport mounts, not the redisigned ones that they're selling now that have the plastic polyurethane disc on the bottom to lessen the vibration even more), In any case I wouldn't go with the stock mounts ever again, these are so much better in terms of drivetrain to rear wheel responsiveness due to it being less sloppy than the stock mounts, shifter doesn't move around, not to mention that you'll probably never have to replace them again, I'm pretty sure that the better redesigned ones that they're selling now will lessen the vibrations even less making them even better. My 2cents.
