Upgrade fuel injectors?
From searching around I've gotten some amount of info from both sides. That is. . .
"Yes, you need bigger injectors." and
"No, the stock sized ones are fine."
But most people seem to go further with the mods than I do when they talk about injectors, so I'm a bit confused. I have been told that I should, definitively, get an upgraded fuel pump.
I have a bunch of stuff to put into a currently nearly stock 95, and it's happening gradually over the next few months.
Basically: intake, downpipe, catback, PFC, Pettit SMIC, Bigger Radiator + every single reliability mod, mild street port. The kids tell me that I should be looking at about 310, maybe 320rwhp if I'm lucky/stupid.
I am running stock turbos on stock boost, which incidentally will probably be in the neighborhood of 11 psi by the time the mods are in. I have no plans to go to a big turbo.
So what's the rx7forum.com verdict? I'm not averse to changing the injectors, but I don't want to dump a ton of unnecessary fuel into the engine if I don't need to.
Thanks.

You only need to upgrade your injectors if you are running over 12 psi. Actually, many of us run 13-14 psi with the stock injectors and have no problem, though they are running close to 100% duty cycle at those boost levels.
With those modifications and running 13 psi or less, I would stick with the stock injectors.

Make sure the stock injectors are in excellent condition before you go about it though - it's always worthwhile insurance to have them cleaned and blueprinted instead of risking an engine failure. They are probably pretty tired by now.
