ok so i got it mounted on my car a couple of weeks ago. i love the way it looks, but here is the catch. the thing flexes like crazy. i can here the wing rattling when i over really bad bumps or rough pieces of road.

is there anything i can do to strenthen the wing? i was thinking of using some of the expanding insulation foam in a can to fill it up. do you think that would work?

Mine only seems to rattle when I close the hatch. I've never noticed any rattling while driving (however mine has been on the car for 6+ years).

I'm assuming the rattling you are hearing is the wing ends hitting the car body?

 

yea i think the must be it. i am more concerned about the paint on the wing cracking/spiderwebbing. have you had any problems like that?

 

Not on the wing. The paint is cracking/chipping everywhere else on the car though!

Is the wing bolted directly to the hatch with nothing in between? Mine has thin mounting pads between the wing and the hatch on each of the mounts.

 

i do have those same pads, it only happens on really bad bumps, or like you said when i close the hatch. thanks for the help, i was mainly worried about the paint job not the cracking. the rattling only happens on occassion. thanks a million for the input.
