Updated Pictures to my RX7 & Reviews (Scoot Hood)

Couple new items added.

1. Blitz BOV
Blitz BOV is a bit quieter than stock and sounds stock. It doesn't have that HKS or Greddy whistle.

2. HID Projectors
Projectors fabricated into the housing. 100% brighter than stock!

3. Scoot Hood
With the stock hood I noticed temperatures around 94-99c. With the A/C on it can go up a bit. Also sitting in traffic with the stock hood the temps would keep climbing until the car starts to move. The stock hood traps a lot of underhood heat and prevents it from escaping. I picked the Scoot hood for function and not for style. It doesn't look that bad to me though, but for function it is awesome. Now with the Scoot hood I notice my temperatures are more consistent around 84-85c degrees only!! That is a huge improvement. Also sitting at redlights with the a/c on it still maintains its temperature. I have yet to be caught in bad traffic to write a better review on it. But so far it is worth the money! The scoot hood is on the expensive (over $1k) side but it works well. It also comes with a center channel scoop that directs air to the back of the engine to cool it. It also comes with rain gutters for those who drive a lot in bad weather. I do not have my rain gutters on since it adds more weight and I avoid driving in bad weather.

4. 19" Volk Racing GT-C Anthracite
Sure its heavy, but not that heavy. Looks damn good to me!

5. Michelin Pilot Sports
Excellent traction, but it seems to track every crack and crevice in the road!

6. Refinish interior with Silverstone Metallic Paint (Semi-Gloss)
This is a personal preference. I have this interior done on my Porsche so I wanted it in the RX7. Some may like it stock more.

Enjoy the pics and ask questions if you have any.

it hardly looks like stock silver. Your car is just amazingly gorgeous.

Yes, it is the stock Silverstone Metallic. Bought the car awhile back with only 17k miles. Car is babied and rarely driven. First time I took it out in about a month to take some pics. Its my baby!

Turbojeff, your funny!

HID projectors are from an Audi A6.

Digital Camera is a Canon E0S 20D Professional SLR with a 18-55mm lens.

Pretty nice Z28 behind the FD I think i have seen your "baby" collection before. Nice cars. Well taken care of and respected.

On your interior paint... did you use any speacial paint for plastic or just add a flex additive? Very nice again.

The paint is PPG Silverstone metallic. I don't think it has any flex additive. There isn't any clearcoat on it though for a matte finish.

The Camaro in the background is built 11 sec car.

Thanks for the compliment.

ehhh only 11 seconds!! j/k . Damn fine cars.

Thanks for the paint info. I just did a 93 in black. as the stock crap was peeling like a bad sunburn. What type of prep did you do to the plastic? I just hit it with some denatured Alch. and some super fine grit to create a bonding surface. Just curious if that was similar to what you/ the painter did.

thanks again. BTW: was the scoot fiberglass or CF before paint?
