UPDATE:oil in coolant?

So i put the 93 in the shop last week an they replaced my spark plug an wires also a new thermostat. I brought it in because the car was over heating the cooloant resevor was completely full. I dont know if the coolant dumped back in the resevor or its burning off its not putting any kind of smoke. I was lossing power towards the end. When i took the car to the shop i filled the ast pressure cap with coolant an squeezed it manualy threw the thermostat location it got me there an as i pulled in it started to over heat. What do i do he want to rebuild the car but i dont feel like thats what it needs there was not white or blue smoke. Mabee a new AST cap?O-rings?
side not the thermo fan an water pump have been looked at an there fine. Please help.

Sounds like you have a compromised cooling seal or passage that is pressurizing the cooling system. Do a pressure test on the cooling system to see if it's holding pressure.

Bummer but I think KansasCityREPU is right. Thermostat won't cause the coolant to be pumped into overflow.

Remove coolant cap, start engine, and watch for bubbles coming up through coolant. If you see a nice stream of them it's rebuild time.
