unusual low boost problem

ok, first i did search, and no posts delt with this particular problem relating to low boost. well let me explain my situation. I had a boost controller and i noticed that when i turned it off, i would only get .5 bar of boost @ most. it said in the boost controller manual that when the boost controller is off, it is supposed to run stock lvls (.71 bar = 10 psi) now i took the boost controller off and redid all the piping like a stock fd. and i still only get .5 bar of boost primary and .3 bar 2ndary. does any1 have any inpout on this? could the low boost problem be electrical?

thnk you.

No, with an electronic boost controller turned off, you should get 7 psi, which is exactly what you were getting! Sounds like you messed something up trying to fix something that wasn't a problem in the first place....just go back over everything you did until you find the problem.

well i found that one of the 2 hoses to the actuators doesnt have the restrictor pill... could that cause the problem?

Well, the EBC should be REPLACING the hose with the pill in it that leads from the primary turbo housing to the wastegate actuator. So, you must be referring to the pre-control hose unless you've really messed things up. How about posting a couple of pics or referring to a vacuum hose diagram?

Oh, and YES, the pill should be in the pre-control line!

i understand that both hoses should have a pill and the one line that doesnt right now is the pre-control hose.
