Unknown vacuum chamber

I'm finishing up my simplified sequential vacuum hose install, and found this guy hanging out on the back of my work bench.

I can't find it anywhere on the stock or ss diagrams and unfortunately don't remember taking it off.

I searched the numbers online but no luck. Anyone know what this is for?

Thanks

Yeah it was auto. Converted it a few months back.

So is this unnecessary then? Still curious as to why it's not on the diagrams.

not necessary. in my shop manual I do recall it being there for the automatic transmission

Hey! Nothing wrong with an auto!!

Yes that is 110% an automatic FD tank. It sits underneath the UIM, the two feet on the bottom of the tank bolt to the rats nest and it sits upright.

My auto car has one on it right now, and if you dont want it, I'd gladly take it off your hands

**Also, the vacuum diagram does make minor mention of it, something along the lines of "This line used for automatic only/connects to vacuum tank when auto" and just shows an unused vacuum hose port on the diagram. They dont allude to it very much but there is a minor mention of it.

OK thanks for the info guys.

SA3R if you actually want this, PM me and we can work out the details. I obviously have no use for it.
