The Ultimate Rotary Engine
Hmm.... looks kinda like the build specs for the motor I'm building right now, except some of that stuff isn't really the "motor" so much as support bits.

Brand new OEM short block: $3,800 (Malloy Mazda, no longer available)
Street Port: $300 (Speed1)

Lightened, Balanced, Clearanced and Blue Printed Rotors: $1,400 (Chips Motorsports)
REC Black/Super Seals (won't eat housings like RA's): $400
Turblown 10mm Stud kit: $400
Garfinkle Oil Pan Brace: $125
OEM Rebuild seals/kit: $938 (Malloy Mazda)
Engine Total: $7,463
Install Costs:
$50 in oil, vasiline, Right Stuff, Paint, etc., etc.
$40 in Vodka, Red Bull, Orange Juice (Labor costs, lol!)
$50 in gas for Engine Builder/friend to come for the weekend
Install total: $140
Engine Fueling:
FFE Primary/Secondary Rails: $265
ID1000 Injectors: $240
ID2000 Injectors: $480

Turblown(.net) has a dry film coating for housings and internals. I'd like to try that out when I finish my engine and start building a backup engine.

In my opinion my ultimate rotary motor would be an all billet 20b with titanium rotors, aggressive streetport, ALS apex seals, mechanical preturbo water/meth injection, with a billet 7675 turbo. Have it rev to 9k or 9500rpm, getrag 6 speed tranny, and a cobra irs. Should have good power all through rev range (or at least in my dreams it would lol)
