UIM Hand Polishing
Well I was pretty bored so I stopped by the local auto store and picked up some sand paper (80 grit, 220 grit, 600 grit, and 800 grit) I dont have any tools for it so I'm doing it all by hand. Holy crap this takes forever but I dont care I love how the polished UIM looks so I'm going to attack it and have it finished hopefully in 3 days. Heres some pics for now, I will be updating them as I progress. I also painted both arms to a alluminum color and it looks nice and clean too. Check those out. Well...... back to polishing. enjoy the pix!

Polishing !
You also need 800 to 1000 to 1500 to final 2000 grit wetery paper
than you can buff it with the buffing wheeel with the white cutting compond !
Good luck
I remember I did mine on a rainy labor day weekend !

nice work on the polishing. Although, I had a question for you or the other gurus. Any truth to the belief that polishing the UIM changes the qualities of heat dissipation? In other words, with a stock ECU, and dp, is it okay to polish the UIM with no ill-effects?
