I bought my car in the beginning of June and it has been running great since then and even better with every thing I do to it. Althought I was putting my front wheels back on the other day when I noticed a wire hanging down. With further inspection I notice the O2 sensor in the Downpipe (A. downpipe was on the car when I bought it. B. Not sure if this is the ECU's only sensor that takes this reading) So basically I have an O2 sensor in my DP completely unplugged and I am wondering what kind of touch of death this is doing to my engine.... Plus I just drove over 500 miles to and from sevenstock and I am thinking if any damage was going to be done I would have seen it this weekend...

Please let me know where I should re-attach this wire, and anything else I should check that could have gone wrong because of this.

Another thing, since this only has 1 wire coming from it does that mean that our cars use a non-heated sensor?

the stock 02 sensor shouldn't be that low on the downpipe. From the picture, it looks like it was very near the ground and where the dp starts to flatten out. Check near the motor section of the DP, see if there is another 02 sensor? the picture you took could have just been an aux. 02 sensor the previous owner was using. if the 02 sensor wasn't connected, you should have noticed an engine code light by now or horrible gas mileage.
