Two sets of Instructions for PFC, Which is Correct? No Display on PFC!

I just recently installed a PFC and couldn't get the screen to show a display. I used these instructions for the installation on which wires to cut:

I just found these instructions which are different saying I'm only suppose to cut four wires...

On the first picture it says to cut a black wire which I belive is a main ECU ground? Are these incorrect and would cutting this wire cause my PFC not to work?

Thanks,

Brando

Look at the top pic again. You're supposed to cut: 4F, 4O, 4P, 3G. I believe the White and the Black wires are given just as reference points. If you look at the 4 forementioned wires and compare them to the second pic(by position and color), they're the same.

i used the bottom directions with the pictures, it worked great.

i would take out the pins in the new ecu itself OR remove the pins from the harness plug, not cutting the wires. search for member dale clark on how to remove hte pins from the ecu harness plug (its much cleaner to remove the pins and its REAL easy to put it back in the harness plug)

Awesome, I'll probably end up soldering the wires back together tonight and pulling the pins.

I don't understand why the heck whoever made that picture would list wires that arn't suppose to be cut!!! Damn the man! :P

Ayup, cutting the ground wire would stop an electronic device from working....
