Twin Turbo REW Cosmo. How much boost?

How much boost can you run on a Twin Turbo 13BREW Cosmo motor stock turbo. Big streetport and front mount intercooler.

Car will have a Haltech F5. Manual boost controller.

Any schematics on the turbo layout etc?

Thanks,

About 10,000 psi, but there is a slight chance it will throw a seal...

I think you mean twin turbo 13B-RE cosmo motor. 13B-REW = FD3S...not JCSE(or whatever the cosmo body was called).

Boost is dependent on how much fuel you have but don't expect the turbo's to stay alive long if you daily drive 15 psi.

Wrong.

Mazda quoted both engines as a 13B-REW

Simply defined as a JC 13B-REW or FD 13B-REW

As they are basically the same design of turbo, dont exceed 1-bar boost if you want them to remain reliable. 99% of the Japanese tuning shops use 0.9 - 1.0 Bar for any twin turbo engine job. They are simply to fragile to tolerate anything higher & remain reliable.

Hell no he isn't kidding! I run mine like that sometimes, but most of the time I keep it at 5,000.

i was under the impression that the cosmo motors were 13b-re, and 20b-re? which always confused me since the 'W' is supposed to stand for "double turbo" ... and both those motors are TT. so what's the proper designation for the cosmo motors?

also IIRC, the cosmo (13B) has different turbos than the FD motor.... FD uses 2x hitachi ht-12's... (and im pretty sure) that the cosmo 13b uses 2x hitachi ht-10's which are tiiiiiny. if i screwed that up can someone correct me? but im pretty sure thats right. oh and for reference... the 20b uses one ht-15 (primary), and one ht-10 as a secondary (too bad they didnt use a 12... but the way they have it configured in stock form i understand their choices for turbo sizes) -heath

Interesting considering my title says 13B-REW engine and a Cosmo 13B I was looking at had the 13B-RE as the engine.
