Twin Turbo or Motor????

I've notice that my first boost is up till 12 lbs to 13 then when it hit 4 thousand RPM it drops a significantly to 5lbs or 4 lbs.

I've notice the car doesn't pull as hard as the first boost!!! I'm thinking it's the top end secondary turbo..

Because once it past 4 thousand RPM it just doesn't pull as hard as it use to be!!!

Is it my secondary turbo or what could cause of this problem???

I'm pretty sure that is not a motor problem. When your motor blows the car shakes like there's no tomorrow...

most likely you got a boost leak somewhere. Have you checked you hoses/solenoids?

Yeah but I'm very sorry but I'm a very begginner in the FD. Where are the hoses and solenoids located??

Are they the blow off valve hoses, intake hoses and Y pipe hoses on the passenger side engines??

Thanks

Do a search to see if you can come up with some diagrams it's the best way. Kinda difficult to describe.

No worries. We were all noobs at one point.

You need to check for splits or loose hose clamps throughout your system that are under presssure:

Hoses to both blow-off valves
y-pipe or crossover pipe
all clamps and couplers
pipes/hoses to the IC
all pipes/hoses/clapms from the IC to the throttlebody

It's pretty hard to just look at the pieces and inspect for leaks or tears. These parts can tear or split, sometimes where you can't see it. I actually removed and reinstalled each pipe/coupler or clamp to make sure that each connection is air-tight.

Good luck.

Get a factory service manual (download for free from www.iluvmyrx7.com). Use Derek Vanditmaars turbo troubleshooting site (don't have the link here, do a search).

If you don't feel comfortable messing around with things, there's a couple of good shops up your way and a few more down in the East Bay (I highly recommend Rick's Rotary in Pleasanton but that's a drive for you).

Well I when I install my new HKS Mega Flow intake and my HKS SSQ Blow off valve, I've notice the bottom intake hose has a tear that was cause by the pulley..

Could it be that hose or some other hose as you mention??

Thanks

It's also very stange!!

Today when I was going to school, I try flooring the car all the way and notice the boost came back.

It'll just be regular again. That is if I dont floor it all the way. It's more like stepping it half way and let boost comes in then floor it all the way, then the result of my boost pattern of 13, 10, and 12 will be back.

But if I just step all the way right away, then boost will screw up with a pattern, 13, 5, 3.

Had any of you guys have this problem with your car??
