Twin T3/T4E's?
Has anyone ever used a twin t3/t4 setup on an FD before? With my little mishap over the weekend I want to evaluate choices. I have seen the threads on Twin 3037S or even 3240's, but not the std t3/t4. Heres my reasoning..
I am looking for 375-380ish to the rear wheels, but more importantly, response. I could probably do this with a single, maybe a t04E or an IHI turbo, but was curious about response. Seems to me small twins might respond better?
How should I go about sizing turbos for an RX-7's Air-flow? A lot of people I have spoken with agree, even though the displacement is low, the CFM and flow of the engine is comparable to a much larger motor, so sizing is very different. Flow requirements are "close to a small V-8, and turbos should be sized accordingly".. Does this bode right? Seems turbos sized for, say a 350 chevy, would be rather large for a rotary, therefore creating slow response.. then again running tiny t3 internal gate turbos seems it would choke the motor down up higher in the rev range..... I only want to buy the turbos once, you know?
I was thinking a couple T3/T4E P trim .63 A/R would work, and give great response. I can always step up to larger housings if needed. Any input you guys and gals have would be greatly appreciated.
