Turn signal stalk clicking?

I have a weird one for you all.

The last week, it sounds like my turn signal clicks intermittently, even when the turn signal is in the neutral position. There’s a clicking noise that seems to originate from the steering column (I don’t think it’s the starter ignition).

Has anyone have any ideas or come across this before? Everything else seems to be working nominally.

The turn signal click-click-click when it's on comes from the flasher which is in CPU#2 which is in the driver's side foot well behind the trim plastic. If it's definitely coming from the column it could be something else.

Thanks Dale. I’ll do some digging and report back.
