You can typically find used Pettit ECU's for sale in the classified here on the forum. Otherwise, contact Pettit Racing:

http://www.pettitracing.com

The ECU is good for about 35-360'ish rwhp on a ported motor. With stock ports, expect 320-330'ish rwhp on increased boost.

It does not work with upgraded injectors.

Fwiw, RX7.com sells new 99 twins for $2,595.

I've been pretty happy with them but BNRs are a good alternative also and more easily support running high 15+ boost levels if that is your goal. Running high boost levels on either the stock 93-95 or 99 twins decreases their life. I personally wouldn't bother running them higher than ~13 PSI if longevity is a goal. That being said, I dyno'ed around 350 rwhp on 99 twins, street-port and 1300cc secondaries and full exhaust & intake mods.

Sounds like that ecu was programmed for light mods if any at all. I thought you meant multiple people bought their own ecu's and all of them popped their engine. That just doesn't happen.

Good numbers. You're right though, if you're wanting to push more than 15psi, you should definitely pick up the BNR's. 15psi and above is just too far outside of the efficiency range of the stock or '99 twins.

j9fd3s I did forget to mention in the original post that I have a stock unported engine with 115,000 miles on it. I have stock injectors and fuel pump also. I did not have the car tuned with 17psi or race gas. This is my daily driver and I have not had one problem in the one year 3 months ownership. The fuel injectors 550, 850 were not even pushing past 65% duty cycle.
14.5psi to 15 psi for reliability was the goal!!

If I am understanding this correctly, you are claiming 301 rwhp, on a stock motor, with stock injectors, and less than 65% injector duty cycle.

To put it simply, that is not possible.

Is this like a proven fact or a myth?? Because I run them in the 18-20 psi range and I'm pretty sure its faster with more boost, not dyno proven but I think I pretty much proved it on the track.

On the butt dyno, I feel like my 93-95's had more torque at a lower boost level compared to my 99's. Spool up to me seems the same, but the 99s seem to be more powerful at higher boost levels...10-15psi. I do like these 99's but if I were to do it again, and being that I autocross regularly...I would get the 93-95's again for that torque out of corners. They go for about 2100 from MazdaMotorsports with the club discount.

I wasn't talking about putting out more power, I was talking about reliability. The stock twins just weren't made to handle that much abuse. A couple of people here have run there twins for that long and most have only lasted a couple of months.

Good deal. At least now you are driving the car the way Mazda intended it to be.
