turbojeffs battery tray

Hey guys I've had about 15 requests for battery tray since the last group buy.

If your interested post up here. If I get 20+ orders I'll make another run.

For those of you that don't know what I'm talking about.

This battery tray is a direct bolt in replacement for the stock unit constructed with stainless steel. It also comes with a tie down specifically for the smaller battery. The tray is designed for a 51R size battery (common size for Civics, and a bunch of other small Japanese cars). This battery weighs about 10lbs less than the stock battery and gives you another 1-2" clearance between the battery and IC. It works awesome with the ASP/M2 Med IC, PFS and other medium sized SMICs. Capacity is much higher than a very small battery like a Hawker or Odyssey and can be kept at essentially stock capacity with the Optima battery.

It addition to the weight savings it allows more room for air to exit the radiator since the stock battery tray covers more of the back side of the radiator.

I've never had a complaint about quality or fitment, see the old thread for pics comments.

Pricing was $71 shipped in the lower 48 states for 20 orders. If the orders are above 30 then the price will drop $5-10 ea (don't remember exactly), more than 40 will probably get another $2-5 drop.

Thanks,
Jeff

This tray rules! Definitely one of the best purchases for my car to date.

What a coincicence. Tomorrow, I'll finally be getting a 51R Optima for the tray I got from your last group buy. My 9-month-old stock-sized "Kirkland Signature" battery started vomiting acid just like the others before it... knew it would happen sooner or later.

Though I haven't installed it yet, it looks awesome, Jeff!

If you don't have one, GET ONE! Very well built and designed.

I just have to find a good excuse to get the 51r battery . Battery that came with the car works well - dammit!

Hey guys,

I'll post up details here instead of PMing everyone individually. It takes about 3 wks for the trays to be manufactured, as soon as we get 20 orders I can start them up. If it looks like we will get 30 orders then we can wait a bit and save a few bucks.

So far this is who I have down.

hapa
technomentor
r96797
jsplit
rjeremy000 (just figured that screen name out.
rotorsownyou7
steve-z
oneflytrini
drewroman

If I can count that looks like 9 already!

Another bump from a former happy customer.

Jeff, you also might want to peruse the 3rd gen for sale/wanted section as I've seen a bunch of posts for your battery tray lately.

It should work with a GReddy FMIC, correct? I'm kind of tired having the battery in the storage bin, so I may be interested.

I don't think it'll work with the Greddy FMIC. If enough people were interested I could build them specifically for the FMIC, the problem is there are a few different types.
