The ones that bolt to the turbos aren't plastic.

THE front elbo is some type of plastic like material if not plastic the rear part is aluminum. I for one have not seen any after market replacements. The front plastic part that is not plastic cost about $80 from the dealer. my mechanic was going to make an aluminum one and he got the bend but did not weld on the flanges,

The newest Greddy intake has a smooth pipe that replaces the accordian thing that goes to the primary, but I don't know of anyone who makes something to replace the aluminum piece going to the secondary.

You mean the Y-pipe? Are you trying to get rid of the plastic pipe that goes from the turbos to the intercooler? I think this is what you're refering to? There is a "efini y-pipe" which is metal.

Try placing a "Wanted to Buy" in the For sale 3rd gen section. I bet you will get some responses fairly quickly.

Good Luck

The front pipe is just powdercoated in a black wrinkle finish... its metal.

It would almost have to be to be bolted directly to the turbo... they get pretty hot.

The front (primary) intake pipe is glass filled nylon just like the stock y pipe to intercooler pipe, and the stock intake elbow, The rear (secondary) intake pipe is Aluminum.

Thank you , Garfinkle opened up his front pipe to match the enlarged turbo intake and it was not metal ( alum ) .
