Turbo Timer Under Radio in Compartment?
Turbo Timer Under Radio in Compartment?
I just did a search and the only thing i found was someone mentioning they wanted to put the turbo timer in the little compartment under the radio. Just wondering if anyone had done this and if they could post some pics as well as how it was done. Im looking to get a turbo timer in the next few weeks and i really think it would look hot when you popped the little compartment open.
thanks for your time

I put mine in the little curve underneat the radio which was in the lower slot (I have a touring). Ran the wire from the relay box through the kick panel and the center console and filed out a little hole so that the console would snap back right. Looks really good, but I don't have a digi cam
you can put your turbo timer wherever you want as long as the wires reach. it will definitely reach that compartment under the radio. take that compartment out and drill a hole in the back to fit in the wires. use double sided adhesive to stick on the turbo timer and stick it where u want it.

So you jspec guys, heheh, was wondering but how does it feel to shift with the left hand and drive with the right? It might sound corny, but today when I was driivng about in my sentra (5 speed), I was pretending to shift on my driver's side door pillar
. Please tell me that did something good for a change on the car

First time I drove a right hand drive, I got in the car, put the key in the steering...started the car...Pushed the brake down, pushed the clutch down and grabbed the DOOR HANDLE.
But I actually LIKE driving right hand drive now...It's SO weird shifting with my right hand. I feel like I have more control since I turn the steering wheel with my right...sound odd, but it's true. It feels like the 7 was MEANT to be driven right hand drive...especially the way the tranny is.
jspec, its like a month later but i finally got a pic of my turbo timer under my radio.... here it is, tell me what you think. The orange of the timer matches the gauge cluster pretty well as far as lighting goes.
keep in mind people we are talking about the TURBO TIMER INSTALL here not the automatic transmission.

looking good...some observations...
how come your brake peddal is also rubber? and whats the little red light that appears on the RPM gauge-beneath the zero?
Or are those just aspects of the automatic?
Thanks,
Edgardo

Yeah the automatics have a bigger brake pedal and it is rubber.
The add oil light for the oil pressure is also on didn't you ever notice that when you turn the power on in your car before starting it up?

I've got my timer mounted to a custom bracket in the glove box. It's really easy to run wires in there, they just barely reached.. it's outta the way, clean looking, and easy to get too.
Just my $.02
