Turbo timer intermittent
I have my timer set at 1:30 seconds, but there have been a few times where the car just shuts down unexpected when I turn it off. I bought the car with it already installed. What could be the problem? Wiring maybe?

Letting any rotary idle that long just heats things up even more after a drive and builds up more carbon in the engine. My advice to you is to remove that piece of crap and just drive the car easy for a mile or so before shutdown. This is far more effective than any turbo timer. Plus this also cools down your oil temps. You need air to move through the radiator and oil cooler so they work more effectively. Letting the car sit and idle doesn't allow this to happen. I have nearly 100k on my original engine and my twins are working perfectly w/original vacuum lines.

the reason why is the if you turned it off with the parking brake down b/c thats its ground. just like the parking brake light when you pull up it grounds causing the light to light up.
also when it shuts down unexpected the ground is weak. (b/c of) if you didn't pull the brake up all the way and it loses ground and also dirt gets on the contact point of the ground which also causes a weak ground.
yeah more harmful then good for a rotary but i had one on my SR20DET powered 240sx and i had the same problem so i just grounded it to a nut for good.
