Turbo Suggestion

Hi,

As per the title I am in the market to replace my stock turbos. I was leaning towards BNR's but I am not too sure. I also wouldn't mind a sigle turbo, but I am running on a non (stock) ported motor. I dont want to deal with lag and my hp goal is approx 400rwhp. I know the BNR's will be pushing it to reach 400, but I think i can still be satisfied with 350rwhp.

Please see list below of mods. Here are my questions;
can i still run the BNR's safely with the pettit limited ecu, or do i have to switch to a stand alone.

do i have to upgrade the fuel sys other than fuel pump? (i will be running on pump gas. psi will be set no higher then 14. )

if i decide to go single, which woyuld be okay for me to use on a stock port motor. (to4e, rx6???)

any other suggestions?

also i was not sure if this should go in the single turbo sec or not so sorry if its in the wrong place.

thanks

ian

I have an XS T04E kit on my car & have never looked back at the twins since. However, if I was to do it over again, I'd go with the GT 35/40 kit. Quick spool from the ballbearings with gobs of power from what I've been seeing in the single turbo section. BTW, my engine is also stock.

I thought you get the best spool characteristics with stock ports due to the velocity of exhaust coming out. I could be wrong. Back when i had a stock reman, my t78 spooled relatively quickly.

you MIGHT be able to pass a sniffer (if you tune for it and put the main cat on), but NO ONE WILL LEGALLY PASS THE VISUAL.... in other words no.

well why do it then if you wont be able to get it passed smog and get registration? Or are you going to do a major swap by putting all stock parts back on?

The new BNR Stage3 twins will easily hit 350RWHP, 400 isn't out of the question either, a member here made 34X RWHP (can't remember the last number) at 12psi, my friend just got them put on his car, his tunning session is this coming tuesday, I'll let you know how it turns out if you'd like
