Turbo selection

Ok, this is my own poll. I want a turbo upgrade, but do not want to pay alot. So, between THESE TWO which is a better choice;

A used set of 99 turbos(hopefully low miles, if I find them)

Or

My 70k stockers sent off to be done by BNR supercars.

Opinions, facts, reasons would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Steve

Argh,
Not much of a poll. Back to the top.

Waste of money to spend $1500 on upgraded stockers, if you don't want to spend a bunch then don't... it's not worth $1500. Just save up more and get a real turbo upgrade, you will be much happier I think. If you are concerned about spool time then go for a TO4E ball bearing with a nice A/R for the street, it still has way more potential for power and will not be laggy. Only reason I can think to upgrade the twins is if you want to stay sequential and need a new set, or concerned about the CA smog *****.. there are ways around that too.

Ok, bad terminology. Its not a poll. I would like reasons for one choice or the other. I have seen the 99's, thats why I ask. For about the same price, I could get either one, so, which one would be a better purchase.
What would you(anyone reading) do?

Steve

Matt,
Ya, mostly stay twins for smog purposes(and I am past due for smog). Other reason is because I would like to not spend much. But I here you. I prob could just save and spend twice that and get a nice single(And I have swayed that way, then back to less expensive twins). Oh, I want too much(new refrigerator, hot tub, this that and the other).
I'll just keep debating until I destroy my stockers and have to make a quick choice.

If my turbos went out tomorrow...which they better not because they only got 6K on them....I would get 99's...keep the smog ***** at bay...I already have enough problems with that.... my car is street driven more then track...and it's hard to beat twins for low end umph...not interested in running 350rwhp...

low 3's is enough for me
