Turbo to Intercooler Piping

here is my setup:

I am running a nomex coupler from my turbo elbow(metal) to my intercooler. It is no longer than a 6" gap between to two.

the questions:

should I even bother putting a metal tube in for that short of a distance? is there really going to be a major difference in turbo response? Other than the possibility of it splitting are there any other major concerns?

My feeling is to stay with the coupler and not pay for a tube(stainless is expensive, especially when buying short lengths)

just wondering if you guys had any opinions.

i guess, 3" since it isn't common in 2.75" I would be more than happy to pay you a few bucks+shipping. Like I mentioned a 6-7" piece will do the trick for me, and I think it would look a lot nicer than the long nomex tube.

thanks for the offer and if you have some laying around PM me and we will work it out.

however, I don't think performance-wise it will make too much difference.
