Turbo EFR 8374 Status
Instead of bothering the shop on a weekly basis, hopefully someone in the community knows anything, as I can't be the only one waiting...
Where and what is the ETA for BW EFR 8374 turbos, and or cores to be dropped stateside at distributers and retailers. Lots of places sell them but it seems none of them have the inventory. It's going on 4 months since I've ordered one.
Anybody able to elaborate as to where and when we can expect retailers to have them back on the shelf? It seems BW turbos are manufactured over seas, according to a quick internet search, not sure that's the case for the EFR series. Regardless

Reach out to the folks at Full-race.com for a timeline. They're a pretty big distributor/dealer and typically end up supplying the smaller guys that resell them in this community.
I waited about 5-6 months I think for my 7670 a year or so ago. You just need to be patient at this point, there's not much good in worrying when things are effed up across the board.

That's a good suggestion fendamonky, I'll do just that! Another shop said it would be a month last week but who knows how accurate that is. Shops need a newsletter for things like this, ha. It's settling having some kind of info or ETA, if its gonna be 3 more months and they know that, I'd be happier to know than keep waiting in anticipation. Supposedly BW isn't giving ETA's, but somebody must know something. Hope Full Race has some good info.
Weather is warming up here, must get car running again before months end, even if that means porting another primary turbo housing and slapping the stockies back on for a 5th or 6th time.

Last I remember, the EFRs are assembled in North Carolina.
But I know BW has been having supply chain issues recently. Full-Race is definitely your best bet, but they may not even have a date from BW.

I can give some answers on this topic All turbo manufactures have had(are having) supply issues, BW is probably the worst one supply/ETA wise though. Some turbos are a lot harder to get than others, depends what it is. Alum tends to be the hardest to get, regardless of the turbo size. Alum 8374/8474s have been MIA for a LONG time. Iron 83's &84's are around right now, but they sell out very quickly and the time between batches from BW is anyone's best guess. Getting an ETA from BW isn't useful, if someone tells you a date FROM BW take it with a mountain of salt (unless they have them physically on the way), they're anywhere from 4-12 months overdue on a few things right now. I *think* its gotten a little better in the past year or so, but its still a **** show.

I got my 8374 supercore 3 months before I got the turbine housing. Best of luck.
