Question Turbo Control solenoid valve..

Just broke one of the nipples of my Turbo Control Solenoid.
My problem is that here in Norway it will probably take 2 or 3 weeks to order a new one.
But is it possible to use my EGR solenoid valve to replace the Turbo Control? They seem to be very similar.
I don't have the EGR system on my car so I guess it wouldn't hurt to remove the EGR valve and plug the vacuum hoses.
Or am I wrong??

If you mean the turbo control in the solenoid rack, you should be able to substitute the EGR solenoid. In the service manual, they use the same test for all the solenoids in the rack. Therefore, if you move the turbo control hoses to the EGR solenoid, swap the connectors, and plug the EGR hoses, you SHOULD be OK. Not 100% sure.
