Turbo City rebuild.

Got this est. back from Turbo City on a rebuild.

Current cost to rebuild your turbos is $650.00 plus s/h. Kit 300-050 cost
$150.00 ea. plus labor of $175.00 each. Includes blueprinting and
balancing. Takes one day to rebuild.

Worth it?
Any horror stories?

How good is your manifold? I understand that having a cracked manifold can be a major sticking point to getting a rebuild done.

They rebuilt mine 4 years ago and mine are still running strong. I had them off a month ago when I put a new motor in and the cracks in the turbo manifold weren't any worse than they were 4 years ago and the shaft endplay was well within spec. If the cracks don't go past the manifold gasket then you're ok.
