Angry Turbo, Boost?

Hey, Im still very new to the forum and the RX-7 and was wondering what everyone is talking about when they say boost, 7psi, blah blah.

I mean can someone explain how boost works?

is it better if its lower higher?

The higher the boost the better. But it all depends on what you have modded on the car. Stock you should run, I believe, around or at 10psi. After that I couldn't help ya.

Boost is what is generated by turbos. Boost is generally measured in PSI=Pounds per squre inch. Stock 3rd gen's or Fd's as most of us call them run 10psi boost. The higher the boost levels the faster the car will go. It's a litte more involved than that but it's a basic description.

get a book written by corky bell called maximum boost. that will explain A LOT. actualy maybe MORE than you will need.
