Tube Identification

Ok, what exactly is this? Has something to do with the fuel system but I couldn't seem to make sense of it via the workshop manual.

Air vent for charcoal canister?

It's currently not connected to anything.... should it be?

yeah its for the charcoal canister, check the vacuum hose diagram, it connects to the thing hanging off the oil fill pipe before being routed into the UIM

What asainguy02 said is only partially correct. It goes to the charcoal cannister..

From where you have indicated it goes to the Catch Tank which bolts to the bottom of the intake elbow, from there it is routed through the Purge Control Solenoid Valve and a 1-way check valve into the UIM

Follow thw orange line:

you can vent it to atmosphere if you are not concerned about emissions, then remove the EVAP purge solenoid and associated plumbing
