NC Trying to blow my car up daily, hunting for 600hp.. lol

I didnt want to start another thread, but i did, just because i had a few updates on the car.

I finally hit the 500hp mark. I did 514hp/388ft-lbs at 23psi. Thats on 100 octane..

I wasnt happy there so decided to turn it up. I went back to the dyno a few months later with my aquamist hsf3 installed and was running 93 pump and boost juice in the meth tank. Car made 540hp/410ft-lbs @ 27psi. It was running 10.6-10.9 afr's also. Ok ok, im waiting on all the replies of "thats weak, and thats no power" lol. Broke the electrode off on the inside of the plug. I had denso iridium ire01-27, and ire01-31. When they broke i put a set of bur9eqp in and at the same boost level (27) the car only made 488.

Well the history behind my madness is the car doesnt have a high boost tune on it. I just keep turning it up. lol. I was running 25psi and 100 octane for about a year now. Motor only has a streetport and ALS seals in it. And catch-22 can vouch for how much i beat on my car. I finally broke my tranny running that kinda boost on the street. Im going for a 600hp dyno sheet, soon as my new tranny gets here and the race plugs arrive as well.

I have pics i need to post up and will very soon. And yes im gonna get Kan to tune it.

Mason is a retard... AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHa. I said that so he would chime in.

There are a few people running this setup making more. But they are on race gas and have better tunes. My car has the same potential, but im doing things so backwards. I really need a good tune. Car ran a 12.5@125 2.6 60' on 18psi, around 450+ hp.

They also said he made 700 at 21 psi. Either he has an extra rotor under the hood that wasn't pictured in the mag, or they meant '41 psi' instead of 21

I could swear I saw this car coming through Indian Trail one day! Do you actually drive it around on the streets in Charlotte?

Have you seen ZMax's 2012 test and tune schedule? It would be nice to see a 3rd gen run!

Wonder if the piece off the spark plug scored the housing/apex seal?

I want to apologize to my fellow rx7 owners for giving our cars such a bad name.

I think ALS seals were not made for racing, and high boost applications. I think they were made specifically for idiots like me. I've ran my car at 25psi 500+hp and just 93 pump gas. Lol. Insane. I feel good knowing I will destroy everything else in my motor before I lose a seal. Ahahahahahahahahah

And I do drive the car a lot. And have raced at Zmax, Darlington, rockingham, or let's call it "drifting on a straight track". Lol.
I don't launch the car, so 60' is normally 2.3-2.6, best mph is 125, best 1/4 was 12.5.

i'm rather surprised the figures were that low for the S475 though, it must be choking up on a restriction somewhere.

T4 flange? 3" exhaust? small intercooler? overly conservative timing tune?

If I read his posts correctly, the engine is fine and the transmission broke because he's been driving it hard.

T6 with a .80 custom rear housing. 4" thick 24x12x4 and yes timing is very conservative..

Nah i damaged the motor as well. Look at my new post... "blew it up real good"..

Just got the new tranny in and then put it back on the dyno. Not sure whats wrong yet but we will find out soon. Im pulling the motor on monday and dropping it to Rotorsports Racing for the disassembly.

Best hp# was 540 best torque was 437ft-lbs. not too shabby..
