trunk leaking water?

is this a common problem with FDs? I washed my car and when I lift up the hatch, water pours out of the hatch strut area. any tips?

do you have an oem wing... water could be leaking in through the holes for the wing. Also this is fairly common, but its best to let it drain than sit there and grow some nasty mold.

there are two plugs (one on each side of the car) next to the rubber stops for the hatch. these have a gasket thing under them that always fails. pull the plug add a dab of silicone and reinstall. all the water that comes off of the roof and hatch collects in those side rails and has to make its way past that gasket. it can get nasty if you dont catch in in time. -heath

run a water hose on each of your sides and trace down where the water's coming from.

It might help if you have another eye looking for the water.
