Trip Meter losing memory

Ive been having problems with my odometer not displaying properly and finally took the time to replace some capacitors in the cluster. That fixed the odometer issue, but my trip meter still wont keep a memory. It counts the mileage but then when the car is shut off, the memory is lost. Ive checked the circuit diagrams in the manual and haven't found anything to do with the CPU memory or anything related.

Anyone have some advice?
