transmission wiring.

I just did a auto to manual swap and i need to know what to do with all the wiring underneath the transmission. I connected the clips that matched but now i have one big clip that attached to the auto transmission shift thing and some other one.

You will need to search and read up on this. I did this many years ago and even then all the info was here. Can't recall your specific issue off the top of my head, but all the wiring and diagrams are on here somewhere.

there are 4 pins on the big clip that you will need, assuming you want a an inhibitor switch.

looking straight at the big connector, you have 2 larger prongs. those Either need to be connected together(this will allow you to start the car without the clutch pedal pressed) but if you want that safety you have to wire the 2 large prongs with the inhibitor switch on the side of the clutch pedal assembly. It doesn't matter which way you orient things as because it just needs a flowing current.

Now the other thing you need from that large connector is the reverse lights. There should be a reverse light sensor with harness connected to the manual tranny. Wire those up to the 2 top right(i think, having the connector switch facing you with the big prongs on the bottom) little prongs and your reverse lights should work. You have to mess around with which wire goes to what prong on this one.

Believe me this makes much more sense when ur looking at the X-16( or w/e) connector like i have described.

good luck.
