Transmission rebuild
How much do you think it would run to rebuild the transmission on a 93 FD? Or, does anyone know of any websites that rebuild JUST the transmissions?

You need to find a good trans rebuilder local to you. Does not need to be a rotary guy. The answer to your question is, it depends upon the condition of the tranny. Upon an inspection (ie open it up) just make a list of the worn/broken parts and replace. Contact Ray @ Malloy Mazda he will give you a great price on the parts you need.
Labor should not run you more than $500.00. That's on the high side.

Pineapple racing I believe have the prices on there web site about r&r a tranny. I had mine done at a local speed shop for 2100 and that included a ACT 4 puck clutch. Parts were about 1k and the labor was 1k.

Do what I did...My mechanic wanted about $1,650. That included parts and all labor. I thought that was a little steep, so I bought a JDM tranny with about 25,000 miles from Ebay. Ended up having a better 5th gear ratio and only cost me about $685...includes tranny, shipping, installation, oil.
