Transmission interlock pins

I'm doing a rebuild job on a transmission and i can't figure out how to insert/assemble the three interlock pins in the detents on the shift rods.
The workshop manual has a worthless description on how it is done.
The three steel ***** that goes in with the springs is obvious. But the other ones...

Does anyone have good experience with this who can show with me pictures or a video how it is done or a good explanation?
I've searched the forum and i can't find enough information that helps me.

It's been a long time so I have to go by the notes that I have attached.

Sorry for the long delay to reply.
Thank you for the attachment with your documentation. It makes more sense with your notes and pictures. I also got a hold of another transmission core, so I will carefully disassemble the gear rods and see how the interlock pins really are attached.
Apparently im missing one pin, had two out of three. So i have ordered a new set from Mazda.
