Transmission diagnosis help pls

hey guys it’s been a while I finally got back home and had the rx7 out to drive. In the middle of a drive I noticed my transmission clicking.
I am wondering what this is. I will be taking it to a shop but wanted to know what to expect going in.
Here are the symptoms and if I can figure out how to put up a video I will

the transmission give off a clicking noise when in gear. It’s almost a rattling noise in 5th.
When the clutch is pressed and out of gear the sound goes away. The clicking noise increases as the rpms are higher.
I thought it was the shifter bushing as I’ve looked things up but unfortunately it is not.
any clue what this could be and what to expect. I’ve had this car since 99 or 2000 and would like to not let it go. Thanks guys.

Doesn’t look like I can upload the video unless I host it somewhere.

Might not be the transmission. Could be the clutch release bearing. You can take a look by taking off the inspection port cover at the bottom of the bell housing.

The only thing that stops spinning when you push the clutch pedal is the transmission input shaft. If the noise is there in all situations but stops when you push in the clutch then it’s likely a transmission problem.

Good point. Didn't think about that.
