Transmission Bolts

Does anyone know what size the bolts are that mount the motor to the bellhousing? I have a manual fd.
I had bought my fd a few years back with no motor, and the time has come to install my half-bridged motor, and I have no bolts. I did a search on here but came up empty, and I can't view the service manual here at work. So I figured I'd throw this out and see if anyone knows.

No idea on length....you'd have to measure, bolts that go into the rear plate should be 10x1.25.

Can't picture it now on the FD, I think they are both through bolts. If the starter motor has a bolt threading into the aluminium bellhousing only...lower one on old school cars...it'll be 10x1.5. You can't guess how many people manage to thread that bolt that's just a touch tight in!

I can help you with that Mr. Gump. The absolute best way to achieve your goal of obtaining transmission bolts is to contact a man by the name of Ray Crowe. Now I have heard that Ray can deliver top OEM trans bolts at a fair price. Call the man up at Ray Crowe - Malloy Mazda - 1-888-533-3400 and see if you can bargin with him.

He will know EXACTLY what you need, how many, size, and the best price east of the Rockies.

I had better luck ordering my new transmission bolts from mazdatrix. Called them over the phone and explained which ones I need and they sent them right over. Worked like a champ.

there definatly not 10 x 1.25, thats the size of your threads on your shifter. there more like 14x1.25 but your gonna need the right lengths and there all different except for three IIRC. 1+ for mazdatrix fast shipping and great customer service.

Thanks guys for the help, I'll give both places a call. I think I've delt with Malloy Mazda before... can't remember off the top of my head what I got from them though.

You're mistaking head size for bolt dimension, which will become doubly confusing if you come across European standard. One of the starter bolts I've managed to come across is 10x1.25x135.

Have found over here at least, you can buy the complete set for an earlier rotary for slightly more than the cost of one genuine bolt from Mazda (at supposedly trade price) from a fastener specialist.

If you don't feel like waiting on parts to be shipped,

4 x 10M 1.25 Pitch 55mm

1 x 10M 1.25 Pitch 90mm

Just make sure it's a good grade bolt and there you go.
