Transmission??

Well guys and gals, I just got back from NJ picking up my FD after I had the motor rebuilt and street ported at KDR. Motor runs great. Couldn't ask for more. Lots of power. I'm so happy. Well not totally. I've got an automatic and it seemed to slip a tad bit before I had all of this work done, but now its a lot worse. When I romp on the gas, the car will seem to downshift slowly and from theres its very wierd. Its definately slipping in my opinion. Well I just want your opinions on what to do. Is it worth it for a manual swap out? Or should I just stick with rebuilding an auto. I don't really care for the auto all that much, but I did just get done speding 4500 on rebuilding the motor?? Any opinions on this situation and some possible prices of how much the swap out costs. Also I'm in the Tampa bay area and if anyone knows of someone around here that could do it. Thanks everyone!

I have an automatic transmission that was just rebuilt. Only about 500 miles on it. I am thinking of putting in a manual transmission b/c I have a scrapped 5 speed, and a freind of mine is a rx-7 mechanic. If you stay with automatic I would sell mine for a good price.
