What transmission would be good for my fd and where can I find it? I looking for a 6-speed trans.

 

Definitely will get flamed by some for putting this in the advanced tech section...covered numerous times over. To upgrade to a 6spd is VERY costly and is intended for a race-only application (straight cut gears, LOTS of noise and the possibility of broken boxes if you cant rev-match). The FD's transmission is a very robust unit (with the exception of its achellies heel...the 5th gear synchro.) and the gearing is pretty well matched and spaced. If your transmission is on its last leg, look into getting it rebuilt, or look for a low mileage one on eBay or in the For Sale section
