Hi guys, i have ran into a little problem and was wondering if you expert can help me out.

Install my tranny to the engine last night, little problem getting it in but did managed finally. After installation put on the short shifter, when testing it out while the engine and tranny is out of the car. I was not able to get it into any of the bottom gears, 2nd 4th or reverse or even 5th. I know that there was no fluid in the tranny but don't know if this is what is causing it or not.

Also after installing the tranny my folk now is toward the engine and not toward the tranny is that right, sorry i don't know if i make any sense here. but i don't know how else to explain it.

 

Lancaster, really? Im also from there. dont see too many FDs around. what color is your car?

Sry cant help with the tranny, maybe provide some more insight/info of the problem. what condition transmission is it rebuilt/new. it could have something wrong internally.

Yes, the FD clutch is a pull-type clutch. When you press on the clutch pedal, the fork pulls back towards the rear of the car.
