trans fluid change question...

On my supra, you could just pull the stick out and pour the fluid right in. Is this a possibility with the fd as well? I can NOT for the life of me get that friggin filler plug out without stripping it.

No. Pulling the shifter only allows you to fill a small reservoir on the tailhousing.
Just confirming, the fill plug is a square-head [B]male[B] plug.....not the recessed plug with the square socket.
Trev, where in Nebraska are you located? Out of town until Monday, but maybe I can help. PM me if you want.

Hey Jim, what's up man? I know about you from Jon Fitz and Bryan. I just sold my supra 1jz and bought my FD. I would really love some help if you could. I am located in omaha at Lake Cunningham. I would greatly appreciate your help and knowledge. You can give me a shout if you have the chance. Thanks Jim,

Trev

If you can't get the *correct* filler plug out, hit it with some penetrating oil. But like Sgtblue said, it's a male fitting so use a monkeywrench and be done with it.

When you go to put it back in, use teflon tape or silicone sealant and don't torque it as tight.

Dave, thanks for the tip. I just brought some penetrating liquid home from work that I will spray on there and let it soak in then hit it with a monkey wrench. Thanks again for the info.
