Tranny Sound

When I start to move out of first gear the car begins to move slightly then makes a scraping noise. Then as I let the clutch out more it moves normally. Every other gear is normal. It sound like metal against metal. Any suggestions?

Well does any one know if it would be wise to take it to Aamco and let them check it out. What I mean is all transmissions are about the same setup right. The reason I am asking is because the guy I take it to is 30 miles(non highway) from where I currently stay.
