tranny removal instructions

can someone show me a how to or something on how to remove and fd transmission? thanks for the help.

It's pretty straight forward. Page J-10 of the FSM has just about everything. There was a clutch release video in the stickys, but it doesn't seem to work anymore. Maybe someone else has it saved.

I'm the guy that did the clutch vid. The reason it's down right now is that I'm in the middle of trying to sell my house and all the servers/wires looked like **** strung all over the rooms

releasing the pressure plate from the throwout bearing is cake! you'll feel like a pro once you hear the "clank" of then coming apart.

use a small falt screw driver to push the little brass snap collar all the way in (twoards the engine. you will be pushing on the flat surface) Use a wider screwdriver to pull the lip of the throwout bearing awa from the engine. Done. You'll know when you go it.
