Trailing arm bushings question?

I'm about to replace the trailing arm bushings and was wondering if it's actually difficults What is the steps to taking the trailing arm out of the socket? Would the whole suspension unit have to come off, or just the lower control arm? Would I need somthing to press the new bushings into the old socket? Last question is should I ever try to perform this task? My reasons are that the clunking has gone so bad that when I'm on the gas it constantly clunks and the faster I go the more it clunks. Damn I'm lazy!
