track car back together - few pics

I finally got the track car back together and drove it home from the shop. It still need a lot of work (install new wing, corner weighing and full re-alignment, tuning, et, et)...but its getting there.

i have had a few track buddies tell me they get a bit nervous when they see the mouth of the yellow beast come up behind them ;-)

...it looks even more intimidating with the wing and front splitter on :-)

thanks, and yep, I edit them myself :-)

dunno the stats right now as it has a lot of new stuff and has not been tuned yet or on a dyno, but as far as the setup it ran last year and what you see in the vids, you can see the mods list here from the previous owners selling post:

yep, ill post dyno info after the first week in april, and yeah the nose will get beat up in a hurry on the track, but this time im going to try to coat it with that 3m paint gaurd stuff, see if that help it last.... but its kinda the deal with track cars, you get them resprayed every season or whatever.

those are the street rims (rims that came with the car when i purchased it), kenesis 29s or something like that. mid way through last season i purchased a set of CCW track rims, that is what you see in the latest track vids. I love both the rims for track, especially the ccws. The street rims/tire combo acts as my rain tires if its wet at the track, they have street legal treaded r-compound tires on them, where the track rims have full on road racing slicks (not street legal).

none yet :-) been all hpde and exhibition race. The FD doesnt fit a class yet and especially a modded fd. BUT, I just recently foudn out it may fit into a NASA enduro class and obvisouly the SU (unlimited) class. so I plan to be running competition races in both those venues once i get a full cage in the car.

Lookin good Damian!! It looks like the sticker fairy visited your place as well! j/k I can't wait to get mine on a track. I am getting the car on teh mainland sometime in April. It leaves the 28 of March. I will be on the mainland March 30. Heading to a track as soon as i can take time off the new job!

You still thinking about the Targa new Foundland? I am still planning for 06, or 07'. Leaning more towards 07'

Can't wait to see some new videos this year.

Also intrested in the new turbo performance on the track. I am looking for a new set-up

Nicely done Damian. Does this include the CF hatch and FAL window?
