TPS checked ok, may have found idle prob.
Ever since I had my car apart last time, when I was doing my Radiator, and AC/PS removal. The idle has been screwed up. Hunting between 1000-1500, backfiring, and when the car was under electrical load; Headlights, or heater in the 3/4 position the idle would kick up to 2500rpm, and hunt.
Well yesterday I had some extra time on my hands so I decided to have a look.
After reading Damian post on the TPS fix, his symptons are a mirror image of mine, I thought for sure it was the TPS.
Well I checked all the values and they were great, all within spec. I was the poking around looking for a loose vacuum line, or something, and thats when I noticed it.
My Godamn Intake (extension)manifold is cracked?
The crack runs right along the around the runner closest to the front of the car. It looks like it may have started by the mounting bolt.
So has anyone ever had this problem before?
