Cool Toyota Supra?

Hey guys, will Toyota Supra (chromed) rims fit on my '94 7? They are 17's and have 275's on back and 255 on the front!
Thanks,Rob

I JUST HAVE SOME AND THOUGHT THE BIGGER AND WIDER TIRES WOULD IMPROVE TRACTION. THINK SO?

They might fit, but might have to be altered a little. The looks of them might not look at good as they do on the Supras just because of the body style that they hold compared to the 7. But then again, its all based on opinions.

There was a thread on this subject I believe in the suspension/tires/brakes forum. You might wanna search for that.

That RX7 was butt ugly, and would still be ugly w/any rims! I think it's back on e-bay.

the hub sizes are different so you will need hub rings. I don't know if the offsets will work.

Not only are those wheels ugly, but they are incredibly heavy and will likely result in poorer acceleration. They might grip better but I doubt they'd handle slalom situations better.

Don't do it just to do it. The stock rims look pretty good and have wonderful build quality and engineering.

The car has 18/8 Intregals on it now. I just thought wider would be better. What do you think of chromed factory 7 rims on a Montego Blue?

it has integrals on there right now??!! damn man, don't even think about changing that. The integrals look good, and work quite well.

I totally agree with what was said above, supra wheels are extremely heavy and UGLY! If I had a supra, that would be the first thing I changed.

Chromed rims look really good on MBM cars in my opinion, but I'd probably still keep the SSR's

I already have a set of stock rims, i just thought chrome would brighten up the Mont. Blue. I agree, no Supra wheel on RX7. Pictures are ugly!

Chroming involves layering metals over the object, and by default will make the wheel heavier. If you are going for the shiny look, then you would want to have them polished. Both Twinturboteddy and FD3SBoost (Dave) do polishing work.

I have a bunch of buddies in RCCAZ that have their stock wheels powder coated. It looks nice on red, white, yellow and silver. I'm not to fond of it on black or blue. They all went with Gun metal black. But you could do any color. Personally. Stay away for chrome... Its a sports car not a Lexus. I think the Konig Imagine's are nice. (please note that pictures of my rims leave little to be desired. They even look cheesie. You have to see them in person on an FD) On the car with the 3 peice look and the machined lip... Nice.. I went with 18's and Nitto 555 235's all the way around for rubber.

I think I am beginning to see the light. Thanks, that's why I posted for help!
I'll keep the Integrals. I just bought the car and didn't know much about them.
