**edit** Since you car is gutted entirely, I would not worry about it getting on a flat-bed tow truck. I bet it looks like a 4x4 right now. By stock suspension'd FD went on a flatbed with no problems with a motor and all its interior

as far as the suspension, the previous owner put aftermarket (GAB's???) and some lowering springs. with no motor, the car still sits lower than my stock FD.

If you could somehow finagle your way into getting a truck, you could spend 50 bucks and do a "in town" move with a uhaul car trailer. that way there is no mileage etc.. but you definately couldn't pull that with a subaru because like someone else said, those trailers are tanks.

I had to pick my FD up from Maine and bring it to my house which is in Fall River, MA (120 miles). I had no choice but to use U-Haul which ran me $250. one way. That included the small $19. moving truck and the Auto Transport which is a nice flat bed car carrier that came with a winch. It was pricey but safe. The U-haul truck was empty but in your case you can fill it with your motor, tranny and all interior parts with no problem.

well uhaul is quoting me 145 from my place to SC... and then id rent it again the next week for the same price. damnit, i need a friend with a "sick-twuck"
